So what do these Mountain Climbers look like? We did not capture demographics, as our study was strictly based on attitudes. However, an analysis of the Inc. 500 list paints a picture of a hardworking, well-educated family man.21

The majority of Mountain Climbers are married (see Figure 1.17).

Over 83 percent have a postsecondary degree (see Figure 1.18).

Most Mountain Climbers are men (see Figure 1.19).

Most are white (see Figure 1.20).

They don't take a lot of time off. The median number of vacation days taken in 1999 was 10.
